I almost didn't want to finish Price He Demands by Curiositykills, but pushed through it anyways. The push was worth it, I must say! It has a very interesting concept, one of the first that I've read with a little bit of next-gen, a lot of Ron love... And a Draco that uses his snarky attitude defensively in a very obvious manner. Afterwards, I felt like I knew Draco just a LITTLE BIT more!

I didn't rate the smut on this one. One reason, it's not very in depth or elaborate (actually quite brief). Though the story is quite sexy in parts, a lot of it involves Hermione's love for Ron, and self denial. Without giving any spoilers, that is a big theme in the story and in some parts it overshadows the Draco/Hermione pairing. That can either be seen as a plus, or a big minus!

One Last Kiss

One Last Kiss by scifichick774 was a quirky little read just before bed--but I wish it had a sequel! Like most of the classic Dramione stories are now that they're years old, this fic is predictable. But it's well-written and on one of my favorite sites, IATQO!

I miss these older fics! I suppose 2007 isn't that long ago but in terms of how Dramione has changed since then, or rather, how fanfiction in general has changed, there's a big difference in the quality and thought process that goes into fic writing. Back then, common sources were still being developed, plot lines were still new and exciting.

This fic makes me think of the classic Dramione stories. Yet, instead of Draco and Hermione as Head Boy and Girl at Hogwarts eventually falling for one another, we've got a typical snarky Draco with a calmer Lucius, and a truly catatonic Hermione.

The Fallout

I admit, I have yet to finish this fic. It's been my first venture onto Hawthorn & Vine, but I'm glad that I joined to read this! I'm quite a ways into it, and it has a very slow buildup (which I appreciate when I need something for the long-haul). It tells a somewhat epic story of the war, told from Grimmauld Place.

I could not put this story down. It's so sexy and endearing--the things an inmate would do for just a 'peek'... and the things a visitor would do for information...

Thanks to a new series of fanblogs on Tumblr, and the greatness that has become Hawthorne & Vine, I'm here again to give in-depth reviews (yet surprisingly sans spoilers) of my favorite fics. Look for Dramione, Lumione, and a few random but amazing pairings. I will never post anything that I dislike and don't highly recommend. Do you wonder why this site isn't exclusive to Dramione, hence the name? With the rate that I read, and the fact that I tend to stick to completed fics, I'd run out of stories in a few months!
