FInding Himself

It's not Dramione but... It's the business.
So I just finished the first novel by Minismoo called Finding Himself. It literally is a novel. While reading, I was wondering "Why the crap is this chapter so long?!!!" It took me forever to get through the first chapter, eventually thinking it must be a one-shot. And by the fourth chapter I thought it must be ending soon. It freaking when on for 38 chapters! If on paper, the author claims, it would have been an 800 page book. While reading it, I thought it must have been some sort of tomb! ( Apart from the dark dank room, I trust its a really large book as well). Er, maybe thats tome. This is my kind of story, long, dramatic, enthralling... And after Twilight, I needed more imaginings of Robert Pattinson... Yay! I'm currently on the sequel, and its proving to be just as amazing as the first, a continuance of the first book but having its own story...

Location: LiveJournal
The summary for this story is: "'The boy who almost died' has to figure out what it means that he didn't. Harry's tumultuous fifth year at Hogwarts is Cedric's seventh and final. Bound together by a shared trauma survived, both boys fall under Ministry suspicion and fire, and both undergo a 'deconstruction' of sorts in the face of that crisis. Who is Cedric Diggory? He must find himself amid rumors of war, the awkwardness of falling in love, and a crippling personal tragedy."
Warnings: This tale contains ADULT situations and imagery. Don't want to get too specific and give away surprises, but just ... be aware.
Rating: None listed, PG-13?
Length: Long. NOVEL
Time Period: Hogwarts
How Good?: OMG. Perfect for me! 9.5/10
And the Smut?: So... realistic. Not tons, its not a smut story, but its pretty good.
Status: Complete, Sequel WIP
Pairing: Cedric/Cho, Cedric/Hermione...

This story is wonderful! It's wonderful, and long, and I have to say the best edited fanfic I've read yet! Cedric, Hermione... One of the most depressing stories... I haven't cried so much from a story in ages, but it's also enlightening. It really gives a good sense of what counts, and really gives Cedric some life. Watching the movie, and reading the books, he just seemed like the most perfect person, with a happy family, and everything he could ask for (not like a Malfoy, but like someoe who's popular for popularity's sake. Not because of blood, or money, but because he's really the nicest person ever thought up.). If you want length, accuracy, and heartbreak resolved, Finding Himself is quite possibly the pest thing you'll get. I haven't found much else like it :).

I guess I can't give much away... Check out the link, the fic has its own pretty site!

The 9.5/10 is an accurate score. I'm a smut queen. I love it, and it's almost the main reason I read fanfics. So the -.5 is for the lost smut. And for Cho. That chick's retarded.

I will eventually post

I've been reading! But after Twilight, it's been Cedric fics.

I decided to re watch GoF the other day, and decided that killing him off like that was quite ridiculous. I'm searching for any and all fics that keep him alive to finish his years at Hogwarts. I mean... he's so perfect. Like, he's a good student, he's tall and gorgeous, Quidditch Captain even! He has loving parents, and a wonderful House (Yes, I do love Hufflepuff's now). The most perfect person in the books, just gone. AHHH!

I am currently reading, literally, the best edited fanfic I've ever come across. It's like, all the emotions packed into a forever long story. I love length, grammar, and feeling. I cried within the first 10 minutes of reading. It is called Finding Himself and it even has its own website apparently :).  I promise, if you give it a look, you'll be a better person.

Prisoners of Love

Alright, I finished Prisoners of Love by LaBibliographe a few days ago, trying to get it done to second it in the Smutastic_Award nominations. This story took up much of my time, and I didn't even end up seconding it! Poop! Well, I spose here is my review!

Location: AFFN
The summary for this story is: "Hermione Granger is thrown into Azkaban for a crime she didn't commit. Someone unusual comes to her rescue."
Warnings: Angst, AU/AR, Language, M/F, OC, Oral, Anal, Preg, Death, Violence
Rating: Adult ++
Length: 41 Chapters, really long, but even longer once you get into it!
Time Period: Post war
How Good?: Really good at first, but personal preference leaves it at that. Overall, generally, it would be 8/10
And the Smut?: Great when its good! But...
Status: Complete
Pairing: Lucius/Hermione
*Currently nominated for a Smutastic_Award!

Okay, so I'm not as fresh into this story since I just spend two days reading Dumbledore's Portrait, but I'll do my best to remember.

I love long, well written stories, and this certainly fits the mold for that! It was sort of addicting, but only at first. I think it's just that I don't care for certain things in stories. It was surprising that I liked this story as much as I did, having passed over it numerous times just because it was placed in prison (in the summary). I thought that Hermione was in prison, and some how Lucius comes along and steals her away, perhaps to use her for his own little festivities. But Prisoners of Love was nothing like that.

It began wonderfully, I was so into Lucius and his need for Hermione, and I loved that Hermione was so good for him romantically (hope I'm not giving much away, it is on AFFN!). But later on, towards the middle and into the pregnancy business, it got pretty boring. I am not one for preggosex. And the big climax, at the end, was sort of weak. Like the villains and such.

Writing too much more here would give everything away, and I'll leave that to my review on AFFN. For almost everyone, this story is the business! This writer has almost 1000 reviews on this story, and exceeds it on Beyond the Veil. LaBibliographe is rather awesome to read, especially for Lumione addicts.

Dumbledore's Portrait

I just finished Dumbledore's Portrait by Dreamweaver and I have to say it was a nice, quick read! It's a common pairing for me, followed the books well, and... Oh, I don't know! It didn't really pop for me, I was expecting something really amazing to happen but it never did. Quite depressing, but it was so well written, and I was so into that I couldn't put it down!

Location: AFFN
The summary for this story is:
"7th year, Blaise begins the train journey to Hogwarts with Hermione on his mind. The trio are back too, but not for the reason most would believe"
Warnings: Lemon, Gen, AU
Rating: Adult +
Length: 10 chapters, on the long side, but still only 10 chapters
Time Period: 7th year
How Good?: Pretty good, 7/10
And the Smut?: Awesome, really descriptive and enthralling!
Status: Complete
Pairing: Hermione/Blaise, Hermione/Blaise/Draco

It really doesn't seem finished, not at all, but it is a good thing to just fill in to the books. Like, in a way, it goes along with it.
This story is very nicely written, I can't stress that enough! It's interesting, keeps you tied up in it, but towards the middle you want to keep reading, but you are still disappointed in knowing that what you want to see happen just wont. That's the main reason I gave this a 7/10...
So, if you want a quick read, with some nice smut this one is for you! But I would have definitely enjoyed 10 more chapters!

Changing of the Guard

Oh sweet babies! The Changing of the Guard by Lomonaaeren was by far the most interesting thing I've ever read. Like, out of fanfiction, this was the most original that I have come up with. And woot! I love how strong Harry is portrayed. Violations: Harry, Original. *I list these things as violations, because they violate my rules! But they don't matter!

Location: AFFN!
The summary for this story is:
"Need a perfect stranger? Come to Metamorphosis. Harry runs it in secret and becomes whoever's needed. Now he's posing as Draco's 'perfect' boyfriend, Brian."
Warnings: Angst, HJ, M/M, SoloM, Trans (not what you think)
Rating: Adult + (note, one plus!)
Length: LONG! 50 Chapters
Time Period: Post DH
How Good?: Genius! 9/10
And the Smut?: When its there, its good. Really sexy, very representative of the characters
Status: Complete
Pairing: Harry/Draco

Its just genius. And the characters work so well together, ALL of them. It's like, you think you'd know who would be perfect for Draco, but... Wow.

Pros: Long, awesome plot, engaging, sexy, and you really really wanted to know Brian. He is just so perfect its ridiculous! And as Draco becomes engaged in him, and his amazingness, so does the reader. And it was based on such a great cause! It translates to the Wizarding World! And I loved how it was completely played out, didn't just stop at the hard stuff.
Cons:... only that Draco wasn't even close magically. He was sort of weak in that respect. There's a point where greatest just becomes absurd.

Her Eyes Closed, She Sleeps

Alright, so this was a stretch for me. This was pretty different than anything I have ever read, morally and ethically, but if I can't be sinful in my addiction, then what can I be sinful in?! Confusion is good for the world, and this story is hot. It's only wrong if you think it is :)

Her Eyes Closed, She Sleeps by Winnett was a surprise. I read it today in class, and it was a great fix...to get me jolly in the middle of a lecture! Oh goodness! That was something, and it was sort of wrong to be reading it. Violations: First Person, Ron and Ginny. But the first person was shared, so I was clued in on both characters feelings and such...

Location: Livejournal (you'd best have an account to open it!)
The summary for this story is:
"I know she's sleeping, because her eyes are closed."
Warnings: Incest, Dubious Consent, Character death (not main pairing)
Rating: NC-17
Length: One Shot...
Time Period: Post War?
How good?: Superb...AHHH!!!
And the smut?: wow, very different, but really realistic! Naughty!
Status: Complete
Pairing: Ron/Ginny

This story is currently nominated for Best Dub-Con and Best Het. Its pretty hot. Really random, but its a good read. I'd suggest reading it in the privacy of your bedroom before bed. It will really get you thinking (I read it just before a quiz in lecture and my mind was racing!)
Kudos to Winnett, I've never read anything by you but woo! Good one! It's pretty hard to deliver something, like something with such a BIG idea behind it so gracefully. YAY!

A New Order of Wizards

Alright, so also LaBibliographe's fics have been fueling my addiction too! She must have some sort of preference for Lucius as ell, seeing as most of her stories are perfect for me!

A New Order of Wizards by LaBibliographe was pretty awesome, great length, thorough... and very...absolved? It was fair, not with Lucius just pushing Hermione to such limits, and her just buried in books the whole time until he wants more. It's got great timing, and awesome smut.

Location: AFFN
The summary for this story is:
"The Ministry of Magic has outlawed Purebloods, but instead of totally purging them, the Ministry has found another way. Lucius Malfoy & Hermione Granger are caught in the Ministry's web."
Warnings: AR, Bond, FemDom, Lang, Lemon, M/F, MaleDom, Oral, Spank
Rating: Adult ++
Length:30 Chapters, full length!
Time Period: Post War
How Good? Really really... Its up there.
And the Smut? Hot! HOT! I wish I was Hermione!
Status: Complete, actually complete. Not a thick cliffie.
Pairing: Lumione

I believe that the first time I came upon this story I didn't think it would be too good. Why? Because the first chapter happened to be in first person. But when I came across it again, I realized that that was just the prologue, and further on, it works back in to normal. I only have a few qualms about this story... Harry as the Minster? Who makes Hermione and Lucius get married? What on earth? That isn't giving much away I hope, but this is a Marriage Law fic. And towards the end, the whole idea with the ghastly tasting potion... that would be obviously disgusting...

Well I suggest all read it, all who can stand BDSM of course. Only then will you understand my rantings. And if you want some hot sex reads then this is for you. But, I do, literally want to throttle Lucius about his belief in Pureblooded lineage.

Love at Last

The most for a review that I can possibly write is...

Oh my gosh, that was so sweet! But of course I'll give you more than that!

Love at Last by dynonugget was a short heartwarming story. I loved it, and for someone who really loves flowers, I understood it.

Location: AFFN
The summary for this story is:
"A bench, a flower, and the passing of time lead to love at last."
Warnings: None
Rating: Adult
Length: One-Shot
Time Period: Post War
How Good? It's a spoon full of sugar is you like it sweet!
And the Smut? Um, none really. But its so sweet!
Status: Complete
Pairing: Dramione!

If you want a short fiction that can make your dreams pleasant if you read it just before bed, then here you are! I literally almost cried, silently saying to myself "It was just so....BEAUTIFUL!!!"

Two Much

Alright, so I read this a little bit ago, but I hope I can review it well enough!

In my search for a new story, I sort of got stuff for a while on SoftObsidian74's writing, as it was consistently good and...rather inventive? Two Much by SoftObsidian74 was really a good quick fix. I love Lucius, and it is exceedingly difficult to find good fiction with him in it, not as a Death Eater raping Muggleborns and such, or as an imprisoned criminal in desperation. I prefer the rich, upstanding, confident, classy Lucius, and although this isn't a Marriage Law fic, It is really fulfilling to my tastes.

Location: AFFN
The summary for this story is:
"Hermione finds herself alone with two Malfoy men, and discovers that there is a such thing as too much of a good thing."
Warnings: BDSM, Dubious Consent, Oral, Anal, DP, Exhib, Voy, Humil, F/M/M, F/M
Rating: NC-17, Adult ++
Length:4 Chapters, short story?
Time Period: Post-Hogwarts
How Good?: Really really good, I just wish it were longer! Like, there was like, one more day.
**And the Smut?: Very hot, slow-burning at first, but its quite explosive~
Status: Complete!
Pairing:Lucius/Hermione/Draco, (no incest)

This is really a fast story, not overly short, but its quick and to the point! Although I cannot really beleive the whole business with Ron, I can understand why she does so much better with the Malfoys... Very hot.

Silencio

Okay, stupid as I've been lately, I have read a ton of stories...but didn't manage to write down their names! AHHH, I'm going to have to retrace my steps.

But because I mentioned this story in a previous post, I can manage to get something up for right now...

Silencio by Akashathekitty was a rare find, full of angst, and surprise. I was surprised, literally, that I liked it. So many times (and this does happen occasionally) have I passed up a story as good as this one simply because of one of my criteria not working out...or simply confused it with something else that I didnt like. I was convinced that this story had Blaise Zabini as a female, ogling Draco... I was mistaken.

I found a link to the story on SoftObsidian74's author page at AFFN, in my search to find a new story to read. But I'm pretty sure someone else mentioned it on their page as "Dramione angst at its best."

Location: AFFN, Coloured Grey, FF.net?
The summary for this story is:
"In a whirlwind of pleasure and angst, can Draco and Hermione end up happy and together? Or are they destined forever to keep their relationship physical an above all--secret?"
Warnings: None Listed
Rating: Adult +
Length: 15 Chapters
Time Period: 6th Year, I believe
How Good? Mind-numbingly good, if you like angst. But otherwise..just, pretty good. 8.5/10
Status: Complete, sequel mentioned
Pairing: Dramione!

This story is really good, and "pretty good" as a rating is really good. If you are up for a realistic story, that is so very compliant then this is top of the line, but if you are like me and want the happily ever after then you are rather SOL.

This was a bit of a nonstop read for me, really angsty. I didn't really know what angst was exactly until I got through this one. And even though this is fiction, and sadly would never happen, by the end, you can imagine realistically that it did and has happened. It's just that well written! Oh, and the tension between those two...

**Leave a Note

Alright, so I am writing on my story. Actually, for the past few days I stopped. I got so stuck, mainly from a review that assured me that I was rather "on point" with Draco. Which sort of made the entire chapter that I already had written sort of sad, cause it was moving really fast and he was extremely out of character. It's like, I have all these ideas, and I'm just trying to seriously get them all down on paper when the characters aren't really at that stage yet...

Also, I have been reading a story to try to get me back on track with Draco. Silencio, by Akashathekitty. I know, it's ridiculous that I haven't read it by now. It's pretty retarded actually, that I never read it until now and... it is so very well developed! And angst! Oy!!! For some reason I was convinced that this was a story that had Blaise Zabini as a female... Hm, I must be confusing it with something else.

**Not dropped off the earth!

Alright everyone, I did not drop off the planet! I have been around, reading and such. But my newest development is... I started my own fanfiction! At AFFN it's called Leave Notes On My Pillow, and its really... just an idea. But it's growing into something more! It's as if, once I write a chapter, and post it, it's as if I didn't even write it. I don't know why... I ought not say too much about the story on here, don't want to give anything away, but I will say that there are many different pairings. How they all are involved is still debatable, but yeah.

Oy, and I started semester classes so, that's slowing things down a bit too! Oy!

**Recent Reads

I just finished what was posted on Bound by Duty by SoftObsidian74. It is pretty rough, beautifully written. So nicely written that I skipped over quite a few of my rules to get through it. Its a moresome with Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Draco. Its like, insanity. But it works! And its really exciting! I have heard good things about a different story called Some Blonde Fool, so I think I'm going to start that tonight!

Claiming Hermione

I really hope I haven't posted on this story already, but I doubt I have already.

Claiming Hermione by ilke is amazing, a great story, perfect for a first time Dramione reader. Why? Because the characters aren't drastically changed, it just draws you in... By the end of the first few chapters you sort of can't see Hermione with anyone else. I don't really know how else to say it...

Location: AFFN
The summary for this story is:
"This doesn't change anything, Granger. We're not friends."
Warnings:
Anal, Angst, BDSM, Bond, D/s, Dom, Exhib, Language, Spank, Toys, UST(?)
Rating: Adult ++
Length: 24 chapters so far
Time Period: 7th Year
How Good? Up there with Contrast! I'm having good luck finding great stories lately!
Status: WIP
Pairing: Dramione

It might not seem like being in my top stories is a lot, but literally... After going through my criteria, which if anyone doesn't know is rather particular, it has kept my interest so much that I check every couple of hours for updates. I rarely do that! Especially with how annoying AFFN is. This story is so well written, so HOT, so sexy, and just so witty...

**Being well written (good grammar, minimal spelling errors, and written like a writer, not a fanatical fan) is so important. I recently read, well started reading, a story... something about Harry and Draco switching places during a vital time prior to/during the War. I loved the concept, but was revolted at the grammar, and just wished someone else could have had the idea. Or could just rewrite it for me... Oy!

**Stories

I have yet to finish a story!

I really don't feel like writing about a story that has not been finished yet, but I imagine I will have to with Claiming Hermione.

Currently, I am re reading a story called "More Than Anything by dynonugget over at AFFN. So far, the only thing I don't really like is the fluff. I miss the old Draco! The mean Draco! The snark!

**When I get a chance

I plan on writing a review of the story The Wedding, a Lumione I finished yesterday! I can find all sorts of stories when I just search deep into the archives of sites....
There was something else I read this morning... or rather, last night, that I will post on as soon as I find it again! And get internet... :(

Monday, August 18, 2008

**Check In

Alright, sorry about the long wait between posts. I have been looking around for an apartment while living in a place in the middle of nowhere, no internet, no tv, nothing...

But I have a phone, a Blackberry, with internet, and I have managed to continue reading quite a bit!

So I am reading three stories right now. One, a WIP is Claiming Hermione (Dramione). Another, Heart and Soul (Luna/Draco thought I'd try something new!). And my current obsession, Love Thy Enemy (Lumione).... I will be posting about Claiming Hermione as soon as I can get on a computer long enough to write about it, and put the links and email the author and such.

Oy, I just realized that a different Harry Potter fanfiction award place is Quill To Parchment. I never really paid much attentiont to anything other than the Dramione Awards... So QTP is where I found that Luna/Draco story... it is actually rather sweet!

Match

Match by Mental was and still is a surprise. I have never attempted to read anything other than Dramione, Lumione, and Dramionaise, and this was a great leap from the norm. I was totally shocked as to how well written this story was, how well developed, and how well the main character grew on me. It was a journey into the past of the HP series... What a wonderful trip!

Location** HPFF
The summary for this story is:
"Ze Meridian has a serious problem: despite the skirt, everyone seems to think she's a boy. Desperate to prove that having short hair, a bloke for a best friend, and a serious obsession with sport does not mean she's lacking in feminine wiles, Ze enlists the help of Sirius Black to set Hogwarts straight about the question of her gender. And since Sirius has just entered into a bet with his friends to see who can remain celibate longest, he shouldn't have any trouble keeping his hands to himself...should he?"
Warnings: Strong Language, Scenes of a Sexual Nature, Substance Use or Abuse, Sensitive Topic/Issue/Theme
Rating: Mature
Length: LONG, 38 Chapters so far, and it seems like it's just getting started!
Time Period: Marauders
How Good? Top Three Stories of All Time Good!
Status** WIP
Pairing** Sirius/OC
Alright, so it is very high up in my favorite stories. I can relate, I can understand the characters, and there is nothing left out! It's like... a soap opera, with cliffhangers galore! But like I mentioned before, it seems like it will go on forever and ever, like it will never end, but phew! It is definitely the business.

**What's Up

Just letting everyone know that I am going to be traveling for a few days, going home! Pretty much a cross country trip! So I wont be able to write as often as usual.

I have been reading Match by Mental. It is pure amazing ness. I can't put it down.

**Match

I think I might give a story called Match over at HPFanfiction a try. It is like number one top rated stories, most reviews, most favorite... Its not a Dramione, it's a Sirius/OC. I don't even read much Sirius... All I can say is that he's better than Remus and Severus.

**A story I'm reading

Currently I am reading a Lucius/Hermione story called Wizards Porn by Utopia over at AFFN.

It is pretty wonderful, and very well written. But the true Dramione fan in me cannot imagine Lucius anywhere near this yet... It just doesn't match.

I think it's because I've developed my own little pickiness when it comes to fanfiction, and I guess I should clear some of that up. Not the pickiness, but why I don't bother reading most stories, because in reality I start about 5 stories in order to get into 1. I guess that doesn't make sense. I will search all day for a story that passes my inspection. Then I will read it.

I guess these are my rules:

-Until recently, no WIP stories or single chaptered ones. It drives me nuts to get into a story that hasn't been updated in 2 years.
-No first person POV stories. I cannot read that way, the character whose POV I'm reading through is never really developed... Literally, I have started Dramione Award winners, but as soon as the 1st person thing is realized, I go back and look for something else.
Lucius/Hermione
-Time travel, I don't really understand the idea of Hermione going back and falling in love with a past character or something, like Voldemort/Tom Riddle or some senior Malfoy. Keep it in the current!
-A dumb, submissive Hermione. Like, I am growing into D/s fiction, but not so much the idea that Hermione is just waiting around for someone to do her. The Hermione in my mind is intelligent beyond belief.
-A dumb, old, sad, depressed, lonely Lucius is a no. That includes poor Azkaban-damaged Lucius. My Lucius, that I appreciate, is smart, clever, witty, and just plain gorgeous. He has impeccable manners, and can challenge Hermione in anything.
-I also cannot picture a threesome story with Lucius and Snape/Harry/Draco/ANYONE. Lucius just seems to be selfish.
-Any filthy Muggleborn/insane Death Eater pairing of Hermione/Lucius is just not going to catch my attention.
-Any super into the future fic, with a middle aged/menopausal/elderly Hermione is just freaky. Especially if she is a virgin with extremely low self esteem. I guess this falls into the Dramione category as well. Also, I believe in the age system of wizards, that they live to be a lot older than us Muggles. As described in Girl Talk by Snapes_Goddess, a wizards prime age is in the early hundreds...
Draco/Hermione/Blaise
-Well, Draco and Blaise have to be friends, like best friends.
-I hate a fluffy sweet Draco.... whiny like in A Dowry of a Single Galleon by Krissy. Don't get me wrong, that was a good story, but he was painfully out of character.
-An evil Death Eater Draco who is just raping Hermione. That is just dumb.
-Blaise is Italian to me. I've always pictured him as European, very endearing, and very generous. Not black. Ethnic, yes, European, yes, Tanned skin and thick curly hair, double yes. Don't get me wrong, I'm black myself, but Blaise Zabini is very Italian.
-I don't do the baby thing. Draco with kids, or Hermione with kids is just wrong, and ruins the entire development of their relationship with their pasts.

I guess I don't have too many limits on Dramione/Dramionaise pairings because most of them work out fine. I will add more as I look up a new story today. I'm sure I'll find plenty more.

The Virgin Saint of Gryffindor

I just read the quick one shot The Virgin Saint of Gryffindor by Lexy Malfoy, and I have got to say.... That was an awesome read! It wasnt very long, but it was complete, and even though it's pretty harsh in themes, it's also pretty easy to get into.

The summary for this story is:
"Hermione shook her head and frowned mockingly. "I'm sorry, young Draco. But like a said... you're a bad boy." she grinned madly. "And bad boys need to be punished."
Warnings: BDSM, Bond, D/s, Dom, H/C, Humil, Language, M/F, oneshot, oral, S&M, Spank, Toys
Rating: NC17 I HOPE!

Length: One-shot
Time Period: Hogwarts, 7th Year

Not So!

**I have fixed the link!

I thought I already posted this story! But I guess not! I just looked over Not So! by ichi.ruki over at AFFN, and for some reason it took me a while to remember it. But I do recall that when I first read it, I was intrigued. It was wonderful, but then I think I followed it with Contrast and Tainted Love... which might have changed my brain quite a bit.

The summary for this story is:
"Slytherins and Gryffindors do it better than Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws; they end up bound for eternity, the idiots."
Rating: Adult (a hard R or NC17)
Length: Upper 30s Chapters
Time Period: Hogwarts, 7th Year
How Good? Good Good

If you think that Draco and Hermione together is sexy, them being together romantically is sexy, how about literally together all the time? Without giving everything away, Draco and Hermione become the closest two people can become! It's raw, well developed, and complete. Well, as complete as it can be. The ending is pretty lame, I mean, if what they are is just as important as Harry Potter, and just as potentially famous as him, the writer shouldn't have just slipped over the ending like she did...

**Lots of info

Maybe not too much, but it seemed alright to put that. I have been reading, a lot, but it seems like nothing is complete! Ahh! Thats just retarded. I am slowly working my way through Round 1 and Round 3 of the Dramione Awards nominees/winners.

Okay, so I have also added some more criteria in my review, a How Good? rating, and the awards it has received.

I guess that didn't take hardly any time at all. Hm, well I guess I could update on what I've been reading.

Lucius' Bookshelves appears to never have an ending. Like, literally, she hasnt updated in 3-4 years. She got an idea to write a story called Senior Project, which I couldn't stand at first, and am slowly starting to appreciate it. I think Snape is gross.

Severus Snape is thick, with a stick up his butt, nasty greasy hair, a gruff old face, and an annoying voice. He has never been soft, arousing, or even interesting. He's just been stiff, mean, and rude. And also, just for convention. he's evil. I cannot understand what the big appeal is with Snarry and Snape/Hermione.

Senior Project has quite a bit of Snape/Hermione in it. It sort of grosses me out, like terribly. Hermione/Lucius good, Draco/Hermione amazing. It's that that is keeping me reading the story.

Pas De Deux

I read Pas De Deux by Eilonwy a few days ago! It was pretty nice, though I wish it weren't driven by a play. Like, 40% of the story was from a play.

The summary for this story is:
A simple class assignment poses a challenge and starts a small war!
Rated NC17
Length: 5 Chapters, 10003
Time Period: Hogwarts, 7th Year
Awards: Dramione Awards Round Three,  Runner Up-Best Head Girl/Head Boy, Nominee for Best Smut and Best Kiss.
**How Good? Good Enough

It's a wonderful length, a good day read. I guess I can't really say much more...

**Another update

Alright so I have been reading, catching up on updated stories and going back to look up more dramione!

So I have turned to the Dramione Awards to find new stories to read and try. I tried a story called Laid by drcjsnider... it was ridiculously out of character... I couldn't get through it. I started The Bracelet by AkashaTheKitty but i couldn't get past the fact that Theo Nott was the Head Boy. I guess I've gotten picky.

I am also especially turned off by stories in the first person. I just can't stand it...

But, I have started something else that is working out nicely so far! Pas De Deux by Eilonwy. The only thing that is annoying me is the fact that it's going to be over soon.. Like, its very short.. Arrggh!

**Alright

This story is so wonderful, I found the name of the story. It is called Lucius' Bookshelves, and I have an email address to who I believe is the author! Yay me!

** An Amazing Discovery

I have found what I've been looking for for ages... A Lucius/Hermione pairing that completes every story that I have read that ended before the "good stuff" started, or hasnt been updated in years. It's like.... Amazing, and this is a story that will lure anyone from Draco to Lucius....

I think it is called No Silly Wand Waving Here... It was extremely difficult to find, after numerous clickings and redirecting, and then ignoring the username/password thing, I got to it. And if I had ignored the story because I didn't have password (which I can't figure out how to get), I would shoot myself in the foot.

Lucius is creepy, but wonderfully so. Hermione is smart, bookloving, and focused. And the fall is fantastic. You know, the fall from sane and reserved, avoiding Lucius at all costs and only doing her job, to giving into her desires and... goodness! And Lucius, he is so developed. He is true to his character, just as Death Eater ish as ever, just as Malfoy ish as ever, and his reasons for reaching out are so... thoroughly explained. It's wonderful!

I just wish I could contact the author, which i am going to try to do, in order to let them know that I mentioned their story, and to thank them for the story that no one has managed to write yet! This is awesomeness!

Crash Into Me

I just skimmed through Crash Into Me by miafitzpatrick. I imagine that if I had the patience to read it all, it would be really touching. But it may mean something that I had to skim a one-shot...

The summary for this story is:
"He watched her cry once and he never stopped."
Rated NC17
Length, one shot

Accio Knickers

I actually just finished a story! Finally found something worth reading, as it seems everything I start to read and enjoy, isn't complete and hasn't been updated in two years! Ahhh!

Accio Knickers by slipperbread was a surprise find! A great length, a funny story, and hot circumstances! It's pretty awesome!

The summary for this story is:
"Well, what else can 'Accio Knickers' mean?"
Rated NC17
Length... 3 Chapters long...
Time Period: Hogwarts, 6th year?
Draco/Hermione, Draco/Pansy

**I am reading...

I promise I am still reading fanfiction, I've just been stuck trying to find some good Lucius/Hermione pairings. I gave up last night, and started back on the Dramionaise train. I am addicted, and wish this wont ever end though I know it will on a story called Off Limits by Avari20 over at IATQO... Is it HOT!!! Oh goodness, well I ought to get back to it! I will be sure to post about it after I have finished it, hopefully it's completed already... I don't feel like waiting....

**Another update post!

After quite a bit of stress with my Macbook hard drive, it appears all is well now!

I still haven't read any new Dramione, as I've been enthralled by a surprisingly "clean" Lucius/Hermione pairing... It's called Ball and Chain by scifichick774. Give it a go, I swear, it's my favorite Hermione to date, and when this starts to get sexy, it will be really hot! Really nice development of the character's relationship...

** Just a quick posting

Just so everyone knows I'm still alive and well, I have been ardently searching for Lucius/Hermione pairings... and apparently I'm very picky. Ahhh!

I am favoring post war fics, Lucius still has his money, superior complex and everything... I am sick of the whole Death Eater Lucius, prisoner Muggleborn Hermione. I haven't even read any of that, but I would want a consenting Hermione...

Sigh. I did read something today though, before I read Girl Talk again... I think it was called Draco's Dad by Snapes_goddess. Quite a nice one-shot it was...

What is the Lucius/Hermione pairing called? Like literally, there is Dramione, Snarry, Mionaise.... But what's my newest ship called?

A Dowry of a Single Galleon

I finished reading A Dowry of a Single Galleon last night, by Krissy and was very very pleased! I quickly got used to the character changes, and was so excited by the plot that I could hardly put down my phone at night....

The summary for this story is:
"My take on the Marriage Law challenge. Draco, after a confrontation with Hermione in Diagon Alley, claims her as his new bride, much to her dismay. "
No Warnings
Rated NC17
Length: 22 Chapters, 82532 words

I was surprised at how long it took me to finish this story but I was pleased by the length. It kept me occupied for a while :). I never really understood the Marriage Law until this fic, which painted a pretty clear picture of it for me. Hermione is so sweet, and kind, and perfect for Draco in this. I guess I am starting with the pros... Lucius and Narcissa retain their superior nature, seemingly dripping in wealth and style, and they have those incredible manners. And the writer only tells us so much about Lucius's past, to keep him mysterious... And Narcissa and Hermione just work so well together... And Draco is so funny and sexy, balancing Hermione's sensible innocence. I will definitely read this again... and again...

On to the cons, although few, they are rather important. Draco is soft. I mean, way too soft and sobby for a one-shot (good thing its a long story). And Hermione gives in really quickly... like early on, and doesn't put up much of a fight. But I guess, they can't really be fighting the whole time.... And I guess I shouldn't give much more away...

Literally though, after this story, I rushed to read some Lucius/Hermione fics. There isn't really even a hint of it in this fic, but the Lucius in it is so desirable, I wanted to read it. So far I've read Catalyst by dynonugget, and am halfway through Girl Talk by Snapes_Goddess. I am loving it... Oh goodness! I hope this is a phase though, since there is so much Dramione out there for me to read...

I do promote this fic, it is amazing, sexy, and you can't wait til the end. Perfect time period changes as well.

Though... I don't know if it is a problem with the website or what, but every third chapter or so, I would have to click to verify that I was of age to read the story. And then it would redirect you to the chapter list. And by then I forgot what chapter I was on... and would end up clicking on the wrong one a few times.... AHHH!

**Alert...

Just writing to alert that I may not be able to post for a couple days... It seems the Apple Store has taken my computer away :(.

I am still working my way through A Dowry of a Single Galleon.... It is not disappointing! I love it! And the length is fantasmic...

Alright, so I need to get off this PC before I break it... Ciao!

**Read a few stories

Alright, so a quick notice. I actually have been reading stories, I just either haven't finished it, or didn't like it enough to follow it completely.

Those stories are:
Accidental Dessert by EclecticSista (I LOVED this one... it reminds me of Never Again by Em North)
Amplified Wants by ashleyfanfic

But I have just started A Dowry of a Single Galleon by Krissy. I am only a few paragraphs in but... I am surprised... I think I got confused at one time or another. I thought this was something else, and never wanted to read it despite the reviews and ratings of it. But I am liking it, and the Hermione in it is really likeable :). I have one little confusion about the Weasley brothers but... I will get to it after I've finished.

Head Girl

Today, I've only managed to finish one story: Head Girl by Jess Lovecat. I will definitely start searching for something new to start tonight, as well as find the story I read last night that I have yet to post...

The summary for this story is:
"Hermione is witness to something that arouses her... Curiosity..."
No Warnings... but it is Angsty... If I really know what angst is...
Length: 13 Chapters, 11945
Rating: NC17
Time Period: Hogwarts... 7th year...

I really enjoyed this story. I could follow how Hermione was actually feeling, as Draco was particularly distant in this fic.

Now that summary does nothing to explain or even clue in to what this story is actually about. Maybe it works for the first chapter, but what about the other 12? Totally not working with that summary. It was a good length, but I do wish the chapters weren't so short... Like the last chapter...

Enough with the length, this was pretty good despite some spelling interruptions. And it was quite erotic... It just makes me think, is there a softer version of the Imperious? Goodness...

How Hermione Got Her Ring

I just finished How Hermione Got Her Ring by drcjsnider and I have to say I liked quite a bit of it. It made me sort of think of how a relationship between Hermione and Fred...

The summary for this story is:
"Hermione lifted up her ring-less left hand and waved her fingers in front of him. Comprehension finally dawned on Draco's face. 'You want to get engaged?' He asked astounded. 'Bingo!'"
Warning: Sexual References
Length: 6 Chapters, 22127 words.
Rating: PG-13
Time Period: Post War

Alright, so this was a pretty nice fic. I guess I favor more skanky stories, so once I finished it and realized that it was rated PG-13, I was a bit disappointed. But it worked out, and it was a great story. I was really excited to see that Snape was in this, and even though I really don't like Snape, I thought he was pretty awesome in his small part.

One thing that sort of annoyed me though... trying not to give anything away, but Fred? Come on now, how about Blaise? I sort of favor Blaise and Draco for Hermione...

A really nice read, but I don't think I will think of reading it again any time soon. Maybe I am just in the mood for something a little more rough (NC-17).

***I have added Time Period to the stories and will have to go back and add it to my previous posts... Grrr...

Beautiful Things Can Come From The Dark

I haven't read Beautiful Things Can Come from The Dark by yesterday4 in a while. I remember having it saved on my phone, and reading it... I can't really give the most thorough review without rereading it... Or rather, much of my own review at all, but I can say this: The development of their relationship is the best I have read. How they grow into caring for eachother is rivaled by no other story I have read, and I do remember that much :).

The summary for this story is:
"He came across her, broken and bleeding, and his decision will alter everything."
Really, the warning for this story is:
Sexual References
Rating: R

Contrast

Contrast by TomFeltonIsKindaHot is currently my favorite story... like, of all time. It is gripping, funny, sexy, and I just want to jump out at it, like it jumps out at me.

The summary for this story is:
"He always liked to pull out the contrast between the two of them. "
The description of this story is:
BDSM, Unresolved Sexual Tension, Violence
Length: 23 chapters so far, rather long.
Rating: NC17

This is a long playing great song type of story. It has a groove to it, and a tangled web of lies and intensity. It's gripping, and there were so many times that I just wanted to scream at the screen. The Blaise in this story is incredibly lust worthy, but not as much as Draco... which is a change from my second favorite story The Family Jewels. The Draco in this story... mmm, he just makes you want to lay on your back and... Oh goodness.

Every girl knows they like a scary Death Eater Draco more than the fluffy sweet one. Everyone knows how Hermione must feel, secretly desiring to be attacked by evil Malfoy... The tension, the frustration, so beautifully worked and twisted. And is it sensual... There is a tangle of interesting, I wish I was her scenes... Chapter 21.... I could go on and on.

Read it.

The Weekender

I just finished The Weekender by a_bees_buzz. I know! I read a lot, but this was a pleasant surprise. Not so slutty, rather sweet, and a really good Post-war story.

The summary for this story is:
"Draco Malfoy was a weekender. He would take a woman out on Friday night. By midday Sunday he'd say his goodbyes. Just what she needed.
The description for this story is:
It's at Coloured Grey so the only thing that is listed is a warning "Sexual References." Duh!
Length: One-Shot

This was a really nice story, not vulgar, and really sweet. Hermione is really believable, and Draco is just a ball of sweetness. I don't know if this would be called fluff but it is really soft. I just wish that it was finished better. The actual relationship starts so late on that I would have liked something more to develop.

Room Serviced

I read Room Serviced by pir8fancier last night and thought it was quite pleasant actually. There was one thing that sort of drove me nuts in a way, but the format of the story was nice, and it was a great length.

The summary for this story is:
"Post Hogwarts: The war still rages on. Hermione learns that any port in a storm comes at a price."
I found this story at Coloured Grey so I can't find any warnings or descriptions.
Length: One-Shot

For a one-shot, this was impossibly thorough. The format, having little snippets of their relations, is awesome. It all comes together so wonderfully, and is quite funny. But everyone who knows me knows that I hate drugs, smoking, and cigarettes. So if you don't mind a slutty, dingy Draco, then get to it.

I've always thought of Draco as pristine. Angry, yes. Rude, yes. Disrespectful towards Muggles and Muggle-borns, of course. But I tend to think, when he is with his parents or at a gala of sorts, and with fellow Purebloods, he is an amazing gentleman. And by my definition, that is someone who tries to make everyone around him as comfortable as possible. Draco is clean, fresh, and although raised by a maniac, that maniac just happened to have the most beautiful clean, primped hair. Maybe Lucius would be smoking a cigar or a pipe in his study or something (still gross), but not Draco. I don't know how many more ways I can explain it but smoking is gross, unclean, and not something a Malfoy would do. Sure the evil or hardcore Draco could be pictured that way but... Hmmm.

But back to the review. It was good, a great read just before going to bed, funny and sexy. Give it a read cause despite my peeves, It was very well put together.

No Stars: A story and a review

I couldn't come up with a * one star idea... But when I do, I'll be sure to post it.

***To clear things up

Before someone asks***

I have created this blog to keep track of all the stories I have read... Rather, to try to find as many of the stories I have read, and am reading, provide the information and a link to the story from this blog. In a way it is for personal use, but I really would like a few people to refer to it after a while of me posting.
So many times have I finished a story, loved it, and then forgot to put it in a bookmark somewhere and forget everything but the plot and a few funny quotes. Then I have to search and search and ultimately give up trying to find it if I want to read it again.
This is sort of a way for me to remember and have access to it all, remember what its about... And I reckon it will become a resource for other people if I try to advertise it somehow...

Please, anyone, if there is some sort of issue with my posts, anything illegal or something, let me know. I am giving credit where it's due, providing links and such so... please just let me know if I've done something...

Oh! Well I don't own or have rights to Harry Potter, or the characters... or any of the fanfictions I have mentioned and will mention in this story... Unless otherwise stated. (If I ever start to write my own HP Fanfics...)

Tainted Love

Tainted Love by kerri240879 was a surprise. I found it while searching through my most recent method of finding new fics... the Dramione Awards nominee sites.

The summary for this story is:
"A secret between two families is revealed during the summer holidays before the start of seventh year, challenging everything the Prince of Slytherin has ever known. The secret threatens to drag him into a place he has never been before. Sit back and enjoy the biggest fall of all."
I haven't found his story on AFF so there is no description...

I really love well-written stories, so I will have to say this one goes along with my previous post. And almost all of my future posts. Without giving much away, the Draco in this story is very close to the one we are used to.Before the author even posts the first chapter , she mentions big change in the regular sequence of events to make room for this other worldly story. And it is really out there. I don't know how to describe it, when the story ventures so far off from the books... And I really really want to see this  new Pansy. I have never been a Pansy fan, but wow. I really want to see her...

This story has a lot of chapters and is a great read if you have patience, many reviewers have mentioned that Hermione is extremely weak and Draco is just hard, including myself. But it works itself out, so stick with it! It was nominated for a DA for a reason!

The Family Jewels

The Family Jewels by Narcissa Black was and in a way still is my first favorite fanfiction.

It seems to be never ending! It's like at 61 chapters by now... But I love long fanfics...

The summary for this story is:
"Draco is turning 17, and he receives part of his inheritance."
The descriptions for this story are:
M/F, F/M/M, DP, Oral, Rim, DM/HG/BZ, PP/RW, Pre-HBP

I love this story. It is well-written, has a wonderful storyline, and the characters are so intriguing. I say that because the way Blaise is portrayed is wonderful. He is so kind, and gentle. And the trio works perfectly. Hermione is extremely out of character but it works.

I guess I haven't figured out how to write much of a summary without giving away the story but... I guess I can say that it is sensual, and so so intense.

Worth a good read if you are looking for a good amount of story, but also quite a few love scenes. I swear there have to be at least twenty separate events. At least...

**Favorite types of fanfics

Over the months, I have grown to read more and more risky stories. But I guess I ought to start with an explanation as to why I chose the Draco/Hermione pairing. I like Draco. A lot. Ever since the third movie, watching the extras, and I heard his accent, I just thought... goodness. And Hermione is just so... uggghhh! I like her, I do, but there is just something about her that I don't like and isn't fixed until someone like Draco comes along.

We know Hermione. So much about her that we could all probably give a pretty good imitation of her snootiness. She is wound so tight, that she seems to just waiting to burst. That sort of energy and tension could never be quelled by Ron and certainly not Harry. Blaise couldn't even take on the real Hermione alone...

We only know so much about Draco, and the sort of life he has lived. With Lucius as a father, we know all too well how arrogant the Malfoy's are, bent on blood purity. But there is room with Draco, to shape that arrogance into something, give it a reason, and change him into someone who matches Hermione.

Harry cannot be changed, Ron... can't really be either. Fred and George are just funny. No real story could be developed from any of them... I guess maybe Harry/Hermione, but it would just be some serious fiction. Like all make believe.

Hermione and Draco as Head Girl & Boy is believable. Hermione and Draco as enemies/lovers during the war is believable. Hermione and Draco developing such a terrible hate for eachother that they just go insane and attack eachother in a lust filled rage is very believable.

I'm not crazy, I'm just a fangirl. Lately I've been daydreaming up pairings. Like when I wake up in the morning, I lay back down and imagine different relationships. Like, after reading Tainted Love by kerri240879, I couldn't stop making up Pansy/Hermione ships in my head.

I guess I will go back and find as many of the previous stories I've read and post about them... That is going to take a lot of time!

**She Loves Dramione!

Hello all... basically anyone who has actually made it to this site! After a few days of trying to figure out HTML code and how to get a fancier blog template, I've finally gotten one to work!

Alright, so the purpose of this blog is to record my favorite Draco/Hermione fanfiction. Over the past few months, I have developed an addiction to the pairing. If I am not on my computer searching for it, I am on my Blackberry reading it. In the car, in the movie theatre during previews, each and every night until I fall asleep. Hey, it's better than being addicted to crack!

Over the months I have found so many different styled fics, come up with my own personal favorites, but the only way I have recorded the most recent ones I've read is through the bookmarks I have saved in my browsers. And with that, as I find a new one that I start to favor, the other ones sort of get forgotten. So I plan on putting the name, writer, and a short description and review of every fiction I have read, and maybe even post a link to it. If only there were other blogs like this!

Alright, so why Dramione? Why not Ron/Hermione or rather, why not just get a pet to take up my time? Because I am a sad person. Not a bad sad, but the sort of lonely sad that comes after and during big events. I suppose I am still a newlywed, and after spending almost two years nonstop planning the wedding, I'm suffering post nuptial depression. I also currently moved from Michigan to Hawaii, leaving behind my whole life and family. The loneliness from that action just spurred on our decision to move back. Last, but actually the main reason I got back into fanfiction, is the finishing of the Harry Potter book series. Once I closed that last book, I closed a part of my life that I had lived through for over a decade. And I was so sad, and depressed that I knew the only way I could feel a little bit better would be to get into fanfiction again.

Like the banner says, "Every Fangirl Needs Her Fix"  :).

Love is...
